*anye 'vataras ca yad-amsa-lesato
brahmadayo yasya vibhutayo matah
maya ca yasyeksana-vartma-vartini
dasi jagat-srsty-avananta-karini*

TRANSLATION
All other incarnations of Godhead expand from mere portions of His plenary portions. Great gods like Brahma are considered His material opulences. And material nature is His maidservant. Standing always in view ready to serve Him, she enacts creation, protection, and destruction of the universe.
